Radio Production Awards - The Results!
Posted on 12th February 2010
The first winners of the new Radio Production Awards were announced at a ceremony in London on February 11th.
The aim of these new awards, organised by The Radio Academy and the Radio Independents Group (RIG), is to recognise and celebrate the work of UK-based radio and audio producers. The long-running Sony Radio Academy Awards recognise programmes, stations and broadcasters, whereas the RPAs honour the achievement of individual producers and production companies demonstrated by a body of
work created and delivered during the previous year.
The highly respected radio critic of the Daily Telegraph, Gillian Reynolds, chaired the judges who included Nigel Appleton, Emily Bell, Bidisha, Tim Blackmore, Nadine Clarke, Charles Collingwood, Trevor Dann, Tim Davie, Tim Dye, Mark Lawson, Matthew Linfoot, David Lloyd, Pat Loughrey, Steve Martin, Caroline Millington, John Perkins, Andrew Pettie, Colin Philpott, Ali Rezakhani, Miranda Sawyer, Guy Starkey, Mark Story, Margherita Taylor, Jane Thynne, Emma Tozer, Martin Wainwright and John Williams.
