Urgent Clarification For R4 Arts Tender Indies
Posted on 14th May 2009
An important last minute note...RIG wanted to ensure that ALL INDIES were aware of something important in relation to the Radio 4 Arts Tender that you may have been misinformed about:
It is vital that you DO NOT include ANY Film Season proposals in your Arts Tender proposal document.
We have heard from some members that they had been encouraged to include Film Season proposals in amongst their 6 ideas. But this is not the case. We have double checked with the network, and they are adamant that no Film Season proposals should be included in the document. Since the Film Season will be later in the batch period, those successful indies that win batches will be asked for Film Season proposals later in the process.
It does explain this in the additional notes supplied by the network, but the issue seems to have been complicated during some face to face meetings. To avoid any of our members being penalised for including film proposals at this stage RIG wanted to ensure everyone was fully aware of the correct procedure.
N.B. WE DID ASK RADIO 4 TO SEND OUT A NOTE TO THIS EFFECT BUT THEY REFUSED!
Good luck to everyone who is bidding for the Arts Tender and/or the Afternoon Play Tender. Proteus should now be back up and running, and remember, the deadline was pushed back and is now 9am tomorrow (Friday).
